About the Portal
Objective
This portal is the official online platform of the Kerala Forest Department, designed to provide a seamless and transparent process for users to apply for tree-cutting permissions in compliance with the Kerala Promotion of Tree Growth in Non- forest Areas Rules, 2011.
The primary goal of the "Timber Portal" is to facilitate hassle-free handling of tree-cutting permission requests. The process begins with the applicant registering through the web application. Upon registration, the applicant gains access to the portal, where they can submit applications for cutting permissions by filling in the required details as per Form II. Supporting documents, including permissions obtained from other departments, must also be uploaded (mandatory).
Once submitted, these documents will be verified by Forest Department officials, and the necessary orders will be issued.
For Timber Transit permit requests, the system integrates with the NTPS portal to manage the process. Applicants can track the status of their requests at every stage through the Application Status page.
